Black & White and Fuji Pictrography Printing
Our background in fine art and scientific photography, where print quality is paramount, means we always pay particular attention to the final output, whether it be on the web or as a print.
We maintain a traditional wet darkroom facility and are able to produce exhibition quality silver-gelatin prints, on fibre-based archivally processed paper, using film negative formats from 35mm to 5" x 7".
Truly photographic quality colour prints from your digital files are made using the superb Fuji Pictrography process running on our colour-calibrated Apple Mac and Windows systems.
This unique printing method, using digital laser exposure, thermal development and dye-transfer technology, is capable of rendering 16.7 million shades of smooth-toned colour onto glossy or matt photographic-quality paper, up to full-bleed A3 (420mm x 297mm (11.75" x 16.5").
Pictrography prints are the closest equivalent to a traditional photographic print available for digital output in terms of quality, feel and permanence. The paper base is roughly the same as a traditional medium-weight photographic paper and, because the process involves dye transfer by thermal bonding, the image is actually embedded in the paper surface, rather than just sprayed on.
Prices for double-weight, A4 full bleed colour prints (210 x 297mm/8.25" x 11.75" image area) start at only £8, we do not add VAT. Discounts apply for multiple copies from the same file and we can accept all common image formats, as well as files from any Adobe product (e.g. PhotoShop, InDesign, Acrobat, etc.).
