At art2science we have been designing, building and maintaining web sites since 1994, the early days of the web.

We like to build websites that combine all the things we are passionate about: design, layout, images, text – and above all – good communication. We aim to keep things as simple as possible, both for the user and for the owner who has to maintain it – although we can do that for you as well if you wish.

As well as looking good, we ensure that sites have good usability, accessibility and that web standards are adhered to wherever possible.

From initial discussions and ideas generation, through design and implementation, to support and maintenance where required, we work with you to achieve your goals in a friendly and co-operative way, without too much 'jargon'.

Whether you need a personal or business web presence, a weblog or an e-commerce site, talk to us first and we'll provide a solution. Prices vary depending on your needs, but complete start-up sites consisting of up to four pages can be had from under £500. We also offer special rates for charities and community groups. Photography for us is not just a job, it's a passion. Every assignment, large or small, is treated as a personal project.

Whether your requirement is for architectural & interior, property & landscape, studio or location photography of commercial products, or art & craft, we can meet your brief. With a background in scientific and industrial photography, we are able to consider more specialist projects as well.

Working closely with you on the brief is important. Understanding the purpose, the usage, the desired 'look', so that we can approach the subject in a sympathetic way that matches your intention. Whatever your photographic needs – whether they be for print, presentation, publicity or web use – talk to us to get an idea of how our personal involvement and attention to detail can make a real difference.

We also undertake restoration work on old photographs, repairing the ravages of time, or restoring and enhancing colour in faded originals. You can see an interactive example on the right.

In addition, we are one of the few places still maintaining a traditional photo-darkroom alongside our digital lightroom. We undertake archival silver-based printing of black & white photographs for private clients and galleries.
